Stadiums, theatres, campuses, cathedrals and attractions that need evacuation and accessibility equipment ready on the day.
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person for a building must make sure everyone can get out safely, including people who can't use the stairs. If your fire risk assessment or a personal emergency evacuation plan (PEEP) relies on an evacuation chair, two things have to be true on the day: the chair works, and someone on site knows how to use it.
We cover both. We service your evacuation chairs at least once a year in line with the manufacturer's guidance, and deliver on-site evac chair training on your own stairs, so staff have practised before they need to do it for real.
Evac chairs can go years without use, which is exactly why they need regular servicing. We inspect tracks, belts, brakes, straps and frames, record each chair's location and condition, and give you a record for your fire safety file.
LOLER applies wherever equipment is used to lift people at work, not just in care settings. Hoists and slings in changing places toilets, leisure centres, universities and public buildings need a thorough examination at least every six months. Learn about LOLER inspections.
Schools with pupils who use hoists and changing equipment: see our page for SEN schools.
We plan visits around opening hours, events and flight schedules to keep disruption to a minimum, and can service chairs and train staff on the same day. Multi-site organisations get one schedule and one set of records across every building, nationwide.
How it works
We visit, audit your equipment and asset numbers, and look for savings against your current supplier.
A quote for exactly the equipment and service frequency you need. No hidden costs and no minimum number of assets.
Quarterly, six-monthly or annual visits. Engineers carry spare parts so most faults are fixed first time.
Every item barcoded and logged, with a full electronic report after each visit, ready for audits and inspections.

The Fire Safety Order requires fire safety equipment to be kept maintained, in efficient working order and in good repair. For evacuation chairs, servicing at least once a year in line with the manufacturer's guidance, and keeping records, is the simplest way to show you're meeting that duty.
